Project Briefing
We begin by understanding your objectives, goals, target audience, deadline, and budget. This information shapes the script, treatment, and style frames for your project.
Scripting
Whether you write your own script or collaborate with us to develop it, you’ll always have the chance to review, adjust, and approve it. This marks the first major sign-off point, as we proceed with voice-over recording only after the script is finalized.
Style Frames
Style frames are fully rendered images that represent pausing the final animated video. Aiming to leave nothing to your imagination, we work with you, your brand guidelines and add a sprinkling of Skyhook magic to create a style that will engage and excite your audience.
Storyboard
Preview the video in sketch format before animation begins. This stage is vital to ensuring we are aligned on the "story" we are trying to tell. Any revisions received in this stage of the process will save us hours of work on the back end; a hand drawn sketch takes 5 seconds to fix - reworking a 3d scene takes hours/days.
Previs - Animatics
These simplified mock-ups give a better idea of how a scene will look and feel with motion and pacing. Animatics are a sequence of still images, test renders, and wireframe previews; it is not the final polished look. The goal here is to give you an overview of the pacing of the video as well as a check in on our progress.
Audio Mix
Sound effects, voice-over, and music track is mixed in to bring the video to life.
Sign Off
The animated video is exported according to your technical specifications and delivered to you via secured link.
Animation
With the script, style frames, and voice-over approved, animation can begin. This process may take several weeks, depending on the voice-over length, highlighting the importance of prior approvals.
